About Signature Safaris

Our Pedigree

Signature Safaris, specialising in luxury tailor made beach & safari holidays in Southern Africa is a trading division of Diplomatic Travel Limited. Formed in 1987 Diplomatic has its roots in the provision of travel services to the diplomatic community – hence the name.

We have always made arrangements for long-haul travellers; indeed we were one of the first to offer itineraries to South Africa, long before it became the major tourist destination that it is today.  

Today we have expanded the destinations that we cover and now include Botswana, Namibia, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia and the islands off Mozambique and Zanzibar. We have travelled widely to these countries; so can talk with a good degree of firsthand knowledge.

Our clients are quality conscious. They also appreciate the value of good service. We believe those who travel with us want to enjoy the whole experience of planning a trip in conjunction with an expert consultant and appreciate arrangements that have been made with an eye to detail and are a “cut above the rest”.

We are small enough to know our clients and we pride ourselves on offering a personal touch rarely found these days. Almost two-thirds of our clients are repeat bookings or from client recommendation – so we must be doing something right!

Our Commitment to the Environment

Many of the destinations we visit have fragile eco-systems with wildlife that is often endangered and where the local communities are also often living on the margins.  We make every effort to protect the environment by acting in partnership with local suppliers who care for the land, its people and the wildlife.

Our major partner is Wilderness Safaris, which actively seeks remote areas and whose philosophy is to work with local communities to preserve and enhance the environment in which they operate. They also support a wide range of conservation and education programmes through The Wilderness Trust.
