Itinerary
This twelve night itinerary highlights how diverse this region of Southern Africa really is, from land based game viewing through to the permanent water locations in the Okavango Delta, and finishing with time at Victoria Falls, this itinerary truly delivers the best of the region.
Your flight into Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, will be met and you will be assisted to your light charter aircraft for the short fight to Chitbe Lediba, for a three night stay.
Days 1-4 (Chitabe Letiba)
Chitabe Lediba, lying adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve, is a dry game activity camp located on the same island as its sister camp, Chitabe, but is smaller and just right as a private camp or one for families. It also has a unique hide where guests can spend a night under the stars overlooking a water hole – a truly amazing experience.
The diversity of habitat in the area provides for a wide variety of wildlife, such as elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, tsessebe, buffalo, impala, zebra and hippo. Wild dogs, one of the Okavango’s rarer predators, can also be sighted.
Days 4-7 (Xigera)
From Chitabe Lediba you fly west into the heart of the Okavango Delta to Xigera Camp.
Xigera is a water-land paradise, situated on a permanent water channel, allowing for a range of game viewing in an area with outstanding game and bird life. Sit on your deck and watch as giraffes meander past.
Days 7-10 (DumaTau)
Travel northwards past the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta into the Linyanti to DumaTau.
Duma Tau is located close to the Savute Channel overlooking a large hippo filled lagoon, with Namibia in the far distance. Wildlife viewing is excellent all year round with zebra, giraffe, buffalo, lion, cheetah and wild dog seen. Elephants are the signature animal in the area due to the abundance of mopane woodlands.
Days 10-13 (The River Club)
From DumaTau your light aircraft flight will take you via Kasane to Livingstone and the world famous Victoria Falls, where the mighty Zambezi tumbles into the gorge – an awesome sight and sound. Stay for three nights at The River Club or its sister camp Toka Leya and enjoy a wide range of activities.
Day 13
Transfer to Livingstone Intl Airport to begin your homeward journey.
