“We found Signature Safaris via an advertisement in Sussex Life and felt safe in their hands because they were so knowledgeable. The whole booking experience was enjoyable, especially when we found that we both owned the same type of sports car. We loved Africa, the freedom from clock-watching and being in such close proximity to wild animals. It goes without saying that we shall return!”

“We started with a Great Namibian Land Rover based safari across central and northern Namibia where we marvelled at the enormous sand dunes at Sossusvlei and took a spectacular sunrise balloon trip followed by a champagne breakfast in the desert. Our adventure continued along the eerie Skeleton Coast, with its marine life and rusting skeletons. We were privileged to see Namibia’s rare desert adapted elephant at Damaraland and at Etosha National Park, near the Angolan border, we saw the big five during our early morning and late afternoon game drives. At our final location, Okonjima, the home of the AfriCat Foundation, we got up close and personal with lions, cheetahs and leopards.

“The accommodation and local guiding were of the highest standards throughout our holiday and it was with regret that we left to move onto the bustle of Cape Town!

Simon and his team’s arrangements worked seamlessly throughout”.

“We arrived tired and ready for a rest after the excitement of the wedding, but as soon as we were out on a game drive, all of that was forgotten. During our 13 night stay, we chose four camps that would provide a range of experiences including Duba Plains and Jao Camp, which were both surrounded by the Delta flood water. Sleeping out in the overnight hide at Chitabe we had the bonus of watching a lunar eclipse. The highlight for Paul was seeing bat eared foxes and for me not seeing one, but two packs of wild dogs in the Linyanti – one of which came to the outside of the camp as if they were waiting for us to come hunting with the pack.

“Champagne, private dinners by the pool with hippos for company, candlelit rooms and relaxing hammocks were all part of the special attention we received from staff at all the camps. Botswana is a magical experience for those wanting to get away from it all and enjoy intimate camps, exquisite game viewing and bird watching, for us the honeymoon was made even more special. Not surprisingly we will be returning to Botswana, this time with a group of friends!”
